Struck with a dramatic high-relief and a rimless edge, this two-ounce silver coin brings a classic narrative to life. The piece features a specialized antique finish that highlights the depth and texture of its intricate design. On the reverse, the scene captures the wise men on their journey to Bethlehem, guided by a brilliant, shining star while onlookers watch their passage. This detailed depiction is inspired by Gustave Doré's artwork, 'The Wise Men', which is also featured on the accompanying certificate of authenticity. The obverse of the coin displays the elegant portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Raphael Maklouf. Surrounding the effigy are clear inscriptions detailing the issuing authority of Niue, the year 2017, the face value of two dollars, and the coin's weight and purity of two ounces of 0.999 fine silver.
