This intriguing silver coin from 2017 represents the third installment in the Royal Canadian Mint's dedicated Wolf Series. Struck with an unusual weight of three quarters of a troy ounce, the piece is composed of highly refined 0.9999 fine silver and carries a face value of two dollars. The reverse side of the coin captures a dramatic wildlife scene, portraying a grey wolf (canis lupus) as it raises its head to howl toward a massive, dominant moon. On the obverse, the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by artist Susanna Blunt, graces the center.
