This impressive five-ounce silver coin belongs to the America the Beautiful series, capturing the natural and historical heritage of the United States. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint in 2017, this specimen-finish quarter is composed of 99.9 percent pure silver. It has been certified in the near-perfect grade of Specimen 69, highlighting the exceptional detail of its expansive surfaces. The reverse side of the coin honors the Ozark National Scenic Riverways in Missouri, showcasing a detailed depiction of Alley Mill. Constructed in 1894, this historic red steel roller mill was originally utilized to grind wheat into flour. The design beautifully preserves this piece of late nineteenth-century industrial history, surrounded by inscriptions indicating the location, the year 2017, and the traditional motto E PLURIBUS UNUM. On the obverse, the familiar portrait of George Washington is presented in a larger format than on standard circulating quarters.
