This modern silver coin from Ukraine, minted in 2017, contains one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver. Crafted in a proof finish with cameo contrast, it represents a limited release of only 10,000 pieces issued globally. The physical weight of 31.1 grams and the silver purity are confirmed by the inscriptions on the piece itself, backed by the official guarantee of the National Bank of Ukraine. The obverse displays the Ukrainian coat of arms alongside the name of the issuing authority, the National Bank of Ukraine, rendered in the native Cyrillic script. The face value of 1 Hryvnia and the year 2017 are also clearly displayed on this side. On the reverse, the Archangel Michael stands with his wings unfurled, holding a raised sword. Surrounding this powerful central figure is a poetic Ukrainian inscription, which is a direct quote from the literary work "Haydamakys" written by T. Shevchenko. The artistic design of this issue was collaboratively created by Volodymyr Taran, Oleksandr Kharuk, and Serhii Kharuk.
