Struck at the West Point Mint in New York, this twenty-five dollar denomination coin is composed of 0.9167 fine gold, containing exactly one-half troy ounce of pure precious metal. Its proof finish highlights the sharp contrast between the frosted design elements and the deeply mirrored fields, creating a striking visual depth. On the obverse, the coin displays a celebrated depiction of Lady Liberty, which was adapted from the famous early twentieth-century Gold Double Eagle design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens.
