Introduced in 2018, this issue represents the thirty-second year of the United States Mint's premier silver bullion initiative. The coin is struck from one troy ounce of 99.9 percent pure silver, carrying the full backing of the United States government for its weight, purity, and face value of one dollar. The obverse features the iconic walking figure of Lady Liberty, originally created by Adolph A. Weinman. Wrapped in the American flag, she strides gracefully toward a rising sun, symbolizing hope and new beginnings. This side of the coin displays the year 2018 along with the traditional inscription "IN GOD WE TRUST." On the reverse, a powerful heraldic eagle stands beneath a triangular cluster of thirteen stars, representing the original colonies. The eagle holds an olive branch and arrows in its talons, with a banner in its beak bearing the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM." The surrounding inscriptions declare "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" alongside the coin's weight and denomination, "1 OZ. FINE SILVER, ONE DOLLAR."
