In 2018, a special milestone was reached for a popular modern coinage series. To mark a decade and a half of these wildlife designs, a commemorative silver coin was struck. This issue features a purity of 0.9999 fine silver and contains exactly one troy ounce of precious metal. Produced in Germany at the Bavarian State Mint, this release was limited to a mintage of 15,000 pieces. The reverse of the coin presents a visual journey through time, displaying the elephant illustrations from both the inaugural 2004 release and the then-current 2018 edition. Positioned alongside these illustrations are the years 2004 and 2018, accompanied by the number 15 to signify the jubilee. Legible inscriptions on this side include AFRICAN WILDLIFE, ELEPHANT, and specifications for the silver content. On the obverse, the coin displays the official Coat of Arms of the Somali Republic.
