Struck at the West Point Mint in New York, this fifty-dollar coin contains one troy ounce of gold with a purity of 0.9167. Unlike standard bullion, the burnished finish gives the coin a distinct matte appearance, highlighting the intricate details of its classic and contemporary designs. On the obverse, the coin displays a celebrated depiction of Lady Liberty, adapted from the historic Gold Double Eagle design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens.
