1.0000 troy oz .9995 2018 PCGS

In 2018, the United States Mint expanded its celebrated American Eagle bullion program with a historic new offering. This release marked the very first time a new precious metal was introduced to the series since the debut of platinum more than two decades earlier in 1997. Struck in one troy ounce of 0.9995 fine palladium, this coin represents a significant modern milestone for collectors and enthusiasts tracking the evolution of American coinage. The designs on both sides of the coin are adapted from the historic work of sculptor Adolph Weinman. The obverse features a youthful representation of Liberty wearing a winged Phrygian cap, a classic image originally famous for its appearance on the circulating Mercury Dime. Legible inscriptions on this side include the year 2018, the word LIBERTY, the motto IN GOD WE TRUST, and the W mint mark, indicating its origin of manufacture. On the reverse, Weinman's artistry continues with a powerful depiction of an eagle perched firmly upon a stone. This side of the coin displays the national motto E PLURIBUS UNUM alongside the issuing country, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The reverse also clearly displays the coin's technical specifications, including the twenty-five dollar face value, the weight of one ounce, and the 0.9995 metal purity. With a limited worldwide mintage of just 15,000 pieces, this proof release stands as a beautifully executed fusion of early twentieth-century American design and modern minting excellence.
