This stunning gold release from 2019 celebrates the Year of the Pig, representing the final animal in the traditional twelve year lunar cycle. Struck in a brilliant uncirculated finish, the coin is composed of one troy ounce of exceptionally pure 0.9999 fine gold. It is an official issue of Australian legal tender, backed fully by the government of Australia and produced by the historic Perth Mint. The reverse of the coin showcases a detailed depiction of a domesticated pig standing amidst stylized foliage and rocky terrain, accompanied by a blooming peony flower. This scene is complemented by the Chinese character representing the pig, alongside the English inscription designating the year. The traditional 'P' mint mark of the Perth Mint is also integrated into this side of the coin. Because the design for this series changes every year to align with the lunar calendar, this specific imagery remains unique to the 2019 release. On the obverse, the coin displays the classic effigy of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.
