The 2019 Kennedy half dollar from the San Francisco Mint represents a modern continuation of one of America's most recognizable coin designs. It has achieved the highest possible grading designation of Proof 70 Ultra Cameo, indicating a flawless strike with intense contrast between the frosted raised details and the deeply mirrored backgrounds. The front of the coin displays a left-facing portrait of President John F. Kennedy, a design originally created by Gilroy Roberts. This side bears the inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the year of issue, along with the distinct "S" mint mark of the San Francisco facility. On the reverse, designed by Frank Gasparro, a detailed heraldic eagle holds symbolic arrows and an olive branch. The reverse inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "E PLURIBUS UNUM", and the denomination "HALF DOLLAR".
