The 2020 half-ounce American Gold Eagle stands as a remarkable example of modern United States coinage, combining classic artistry with precise contemporary production. Struck from half an ounce of 0.9167 fine gold, this twenty-five dollar denomination coin has been certified in outstanding Mint State 69 condition, indicating a strike of exceptional quality with only the most minuscule imperfections. On the obverse, the coin showcases a legendary design originally created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. Lady Liberty is depicted walking forward with confidence, bathed in the radiant rays of a rising sun. The word LIBERTY arches above her, while the year of issue, 2020, is clearly inscribed to her side. The reverse, designed by Miley Busiek, presents a powerful family portrait of America's national bird. A male bald eagle is shown in mid-flight, carrying an olive branch back to a nest where a female eagle and their young await. This side also bears the traditional national mottos, IN GOD WE TRUST and E PLURIBUS UNUM, alongside the inscriptions detailing the country of origin, the weight of the gold, and the face value of 25 dollars.
