The design is completely rimless, allowing the detailed imagery to flow to the very edge of the coin. The reverse side depicts the well-known biblical account of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego inside the blazing furnace, with King Nebuchadnezzar and his soldiers looking on. This powerful scene is based on the historic artwork of Gustave Doré.
