This modern silver issue from 2020 presents a striking Canadian interpretation of a classic theme. Struck in one ounce of exceptionally pure 0.9999 fine silver, the coin is distinguished by its ultra-high relief, which gives the detailed engraving an impressive three-dimensional depth. This particular specimen is certified in perfect Proof 70 Ultra Cameo condition, highlighting the intense contrast between the frosted design elements and the mirror-like fields. The reverse side displays a profile of Lady Peace, her head adorned with a crown of maple leaves. Alongside her image, the inscription reads PAX 2020, accompanied by the traditional Canadian motto meaning from sea to sea, rendered as A MARI USQUE AD MARE. In a thoughtful design touch, the Latin word for peace, PAX, is also specially lettered along the outer edge of the coin. On the obverse, the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II is featured.
