The 2020 American Silver Eagle represents a modern continuation of one of the most recognized bullion programs in the world. This specific coin, struck at the Philadelphia Mint, has been certified in Mint State 69, indicating its near-flawless preservation. Containing one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver, the coin carries a face value of one dollar and is backed by the United States government. The obverse side displays the classic figure of Lady Liberty walking gracefully toward a rising sun, a design originally created by Adolph A. Weinman in 1916. The inscriptions "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the year "2020" are clearly visible alongside her draped form. On the reverse, designed by John Mercanti, a powerful heraldic eagle is depicted below thirteen small stars, echoing the Great Seal of the United States. The eagle holds an olive branch and arrows, symbolizing peace and strength. This design, which was featured on the series from 1986 to 2021, is surrounded by the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR," and the Latin motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
