2021 1 oz American Palladium Eagle MS-70 PCGS (FS®, Black)
The American Eagle series expanded its horizons by introducing palladium to its bullion lineup, following the introduction of platinum in 1997. This 2021 issue represents a modern masterpiece of the United States Mint, struck in high relief at the Philadelphia facility. Containing one troy ounce of 0.9995 fine palladium, the coin carries a legal tender face value of twenty-five dollars, backed by the United States government. The obverse displays a striking rendition of Liberty wearing a winged Phrygian cap, a design adapted from the historic work of Adolph Weinman. Legible inscriptions on this side include the traditional motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" alongside the 2021 year of issue. On the reverse, Weinman's artistry continues with a powerful depiction of an eagle perched on a rocky outcrop. The reverse also displays the necessary specifications of the coin, detailing its weight, purity, and twenty-five dollar denomination. This particular specimen has achieved the highest possible grade of Mint State 70, highlighting its pristine condition and exceptional strike from a limited production run of only 8,700 pieces.
