2021 Armenia 1 oz Silver 500 Drams Noah’s Ark BU

Introduced originally in 2011, the Noah's Ark series has become a prominent modern release. This 2021 edition, minted in one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver, carries a legal tender face value of 500 Drams. While the coin is issued under the authority of the Central Bank of Armenia as a sovereign release backed by the Armenian government, its production is handled by a private minting facility in Germany. The obverse of the coin displays the official coat of arms for the Republic of Armenia. Alongside this detailed national emblem, the face value of 500 DRAM and the 2021 year of issue are clearly inscribed. The inscriptions on this side also denote the weight of one ounce and the silver purity of 999. On the reverse, designer Eduard Kurghinyan captures the famous biblical narrative with dramatic visual elements. A dove carrying an olive branch flies in the foreground, while Noah's ark floats upon the receding deluge in the center. In the background, the sun rises behind the twin peaks of Mount Ararat, creating a powerful and symbolic landscape.
