The 2021 Australian Wedge-Tailed Eagle silver coin represents the eighth annual entry in a popular series that first debuted in 2014. Struck by the Perth Mint from one ounce of 0.9999 fine silver, this brilliant uncirculated coin is backed as official legal tender by the government of Australia with a face value of one dollar. The production of this specific issue was limited to a maximum of 50,000 pieces. The reverse side of the coin displays a dramatic wildlife scene designed by John Mercanti, capturing a wedge-tailed eagle gripping a snake within its powerful talons. This side also incorporates the traditional 'P' mint mark of the Perth Mint, alongside the inscriptions 'AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE' and '2021 1oz 9999 SILVER'. On the obverse, the coin features the detailed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as styled by designer Jody Clark. Surrounding the royal portrait are the inscriptions indicating the monarch's name, 'ELIZABETH II', the year of issue, and the '1 DOLLAR' denomination.
