2021-(CC) Silver Morgan Dollar (CC Privy, Box & COA)
In 2021, the United States Mint celebrated a classic numismatic legacy by releasing a modern tribute to the historic Morgan dollar. Though struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this particular silver coin carries a special "CC" privy mark, paying direct homage to the famous Carson City Mint of the nineteenth century. This issue was restricted to a strict mintage limit of 175,000 pieces, making it a highly focused release for enthusiasts of American coinage. Crafted from 0.858 troy ounces of 0.999 fine silver, the coin recreates the iconic imagery of the original series. The obverse presents the left-facing profile of Liberty, adorned with a Phrygian cap that is decorated with wheat ears and cotton blossoms. The reverse displays a powerful American eagle with its wings fully spread, grasping an olive branch and arrows in its talons, all framed by a delicate laurel wreath. Legible inscriptions on the coin include the national motto "In God we trust" alongside the country name and the one-dollar denomination.
