A century after the classic silver dollar era drew to a close, this modern tribute honors one of numismatic history's most celebrated designs. Minted in 2021, this coin marks exactly one hundred years since the final historic Morgan dollars were struck in 1921, reviving a legacy that originally spanned from 1878 to 1904. Crafted from 0.858 troy ounces of 99.9 percent pure silver, this piece was struck at the Philadelphia Mint but bears a special "CC" privy mark. This mark pays homage to the famous Carson City Mint in Nevada, a branch celebrated for its wild frontier history and highly sought-after coinage. The issue was strictly limited, with a total production of just 175,000 pieces. On the obverse, the profile of Liberty is depicted wearing a Phrygian cap, decorated with a crown of wheat ears and cotton blossoms. The reverse displays a majestic American eagle with outspread wings, grasping a bundle of arrows and an olive branch within a surrounding laurel wreath. This specific specimen has achieved the highest possible grade of Mint State 70, indicating a flawless strike and perfect preservation.
