2021-D Silver Morgan Dollar (Box & COA)
In 2021, the United States Mint marked a century since the conclusion of one of its most celebrated coin series. This modern tribute, struck at the Denver Mint, recreates the iconic silver dollar that originally circulated from 1878 to 1904, and made a final brief appearance in 1921. With a strict production limit of 175,000 pieces, this release captures the historic design in 0.858 troy ounces of fine silver, minted to a brilliant uncirculated finish. The obverse features the classic left-facing profile of Liberty. She wears a Phrygian cap decorated with a crown of native American agricultural elements, specifically cotton blossoms and wheat ears. The reverse displays a powerful heraldic eagle with its wings fully spread. In its talons, the eagle grasps a symbolic olive branch alongside a bundle of arrows, all framed by a delicate laurel wreath. The small letter D mint mark is visible, indicating its origin at the Colorado facility.
