This silver coin highlights the Church of the Annunciation, a prominent sanctuary located in Nazareth. The site itself is traditionally associated with the moment the angel Gabriel announced the upcoming birth of Jesus to the Virgin Mary. As part of a dedicated series celebrating Holy Land Sites, this release represents the third entry in the collection. Although associated with the year 2021 in some records, the piece bears a mint year of 2019 and is backed as a sovereign issue by the Bank of Israel. The front of the coin displays the distinctive cone-shaped dome of the church topped by a cross, alongside representations of the church doors which depict historical scenes. This side also records the year of minting, the metal type, and the silver purity. Crafted from one ounce of 0.999 fine silver, the coin has a strict maximum mintage of 1,800 pieces. On the reverse, a rich collage of significant locations and religious themes comes together. The design features the Holy Trinity, the Garden Tomb, the YMCA building, and a depiction of Jesus praying at Gethsemane, which references the 'Agony in the Garden' painting.
