2021 Mexico 1/10 oz Gold Libertad BU
The 2021 edition of the tenth-ounce Gold Libertad showcases the artistic traditions of the oldest active mint in the Americas. Struck at the historic Mexican Mint in Mexico City, which was founded in 1535, this coin is backed by the Banco de México. The modern tenth-ounce gold size has been part of the Libertad series since its introduction in 1991. On the front of the coin, the central focus is the sculptural relief of the Mexican national shield. The emblem is encircled by the inscription "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS". The reverse features the Winged Victory statue, a prominent monument in Mexico City, standing before the volcanic peaks of Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl. This side also displays the weight, year of issue, and purity, marked as "1/10 ONZA ORO PURO 2021 LEY 0.999". This brilliant uncirculated release is composed of 0.1000 troy ounces of 99.9 percent pure gold. It represents a particularly scarce issue within the series, with a total production limited to just 850 pieces.
