This striking silver coin, minted in 2021, celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the iconic Lord of the Rings film trilogy. Authorized by the government of Niue, the legal tender piece contains one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver, combining precious metal purity with a design inspired by legendary fantasy cinema. Only 20,000 of these brilliant uncirculated coins were produced for global distribution. The reverse side of the coin showcases the infamous Ring of Power, once belonging to the Dark Lord Sauron. Accompanying the central image is the dark speech of Mordor, which is inscribed both upon the ring itself and across the surface of the coin. On the obverse, the coin displays the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, alongside the 2021 date and the face value of two dollars.
