2021-S Silver Morgan Dollar MS-70 NGC
In 2021, the United States Mint revisited one of its most celebrated numismatic designs. This modern silver dollar honors the centennial of the very last year the classic Morgan series was produced, which originally ran from 1878 to 1904, and then briefly returned in 1921. Struck at the San Francisco Mint, this particular issue carries the distinctive S mint mark and was limited to a production run of 175,000 pieces. The coin is crafted from 0.858 troy ounces of fine silver. On the front, the profile of Liberty is depicted wearing a Phrygian cap, which is adorned with a crown of cotton blossoms and ears of wheat. The inscription LIBERTY is clearly visible on her headpiece. The reverse side showcases an American eagle with its wings fully spread. In its talons, the eagle grasps both an olive branch and a cluster of arrows, all framed by a surrounding laurel wreath. This specific coin has been certified in perfect Mint State 70 condition, offering a flawless look at a design that bridges two different centuries of American minting.
