In 2021, a modern tribute revived one of America's most celebrated numismatic designs. This issue, struck at the Philadelphia mint facility, contains 0.858 troy ounces of 0.999 fine silver. Measuring 38.1 mm in diameter and 6.2 mm in thickness, the piece represents a contemporary homage to a classic era of American coinage, issued with a mintage of 175,000 pieces. This particular specimen has been certified in perfect Mint State 70 condition, highlighting the preservation of its intricate artistic details. The obverse features the left-facing profile of Lady Liberty, who wears a Phrygian cap decorated with wheat and cotton. This imagery, originally created by designer George T. Morgan, dates back to the late nineteenth century when the Bland-Allison Act of 1878 mandated the original series. That legislation placed the coins at the center of national debates regarding bimetallism and the domestic silver industry. On the reverse, a bald eagle with wings spread wide grasps an olive branch alongside a bundle of arrows, completing a powerful symbolic pairing that defined nineteenth-century American currency.
