A century after its historic debut, the iconic Peace Dollar returned in 2021. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this modern issue contains 0.858 ounces of 99.9 percent pure silver. The coin has been certified in perfect Mint State 70 condition, highlighting the precise details of a classic American design. Production was strictly limited, with a total mintage cap of 200,000 pieces. The obverse displays the left-facing profile of Liberty wearing her signature crown of pointed rays. Under her neck, the subtle monogram AF honors the original sculptor, Anthony de Francisci. Surrounding the portrait are the inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the year 2021. On the reverse, a majestic bald eagle sits atop a mountain crag, clutching an olive branch as a symbol of harmony. The bird gazes toward the dawn, positioned above the bold inscription of the word PEACE. The denomination ONE DOLLAR and the name of the issuing nation are also clearly struck on this side, completing a powerful visual tribute to national hope.
