This legal tender silver coin from Tuvalu celebrates one of television's most recognizable families. Struck in 2021, the piece marks the fifth installment in a series dedicated to the animated phenomenon, The Simpsons, which debuted in 1989 and holds the record as the longest-running primetime scripted program in television history. The reverse side portrays Marge Simpson alongside her youngest daughter, Maggie, positioned in front of their suburban residence. This side also incorporates the signature of creator Matt Groening and the traditional 'P' mint mark of the Perth Mint, which produced the piece. With a restricted release of only 25,000 pieces, the coin is struck from one troy ounce of highly refined 0.9999 pure silver. On the obverse, the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Ian Rank-Broadley is displayed. Surrounding the portrait are inscriptions detailing the 1 Dollar face value, the 2021 issue year, the weight, and the silver purity, alongside the name of the issuing nation, Tuvalu.
