2021-W 1 oz Proof American Platinum Eagle (w/Box & COA)
The 2021 edition of the proof platinum hundred-dollar coin marks the beginning of a five-year design journey running from 2021 to 2025. This specialized series dedicates its imagery to the core liberties protected by the First Amendment. Struck at the West Point Mint, this coin is composed of one troy ounce of 0.9995 fine platinum and is finished to proof standards, showcasing a maximum mintage of 13,000 pieces. On the obverse, a young oak seedling alongside an acorn represents the concept that liberty grows when nurtured by the freedom of religion. This side features the inscriptions "WITH FREEDOM OF RELIGION LIBERTY GROWS", "IN GOD WE TRUST", "E PLURIBUS UNUM", and the year "2021". The design was created by Donna Weaver and sculpted by Joseph Menna. The reverse side displays a powerful eagle soaring through the air while clutching an olive branch. This classic American image, designed by Patricia Lucas-Morris and sculpted by Don Everhart, is accompanied by the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "$100", "1 OZ.", and "0.9995 PLATINUM".
