In 2021, the United States Mint initiated a five-year program dedicated to the core liberties outlined in the First Amendment. This inaugural release focuses on the freedom of religion, presenting the concept through the symbolic growth of an oak tree. Crafted from one ounce of 0.9995 pure platinum, this piece features a highly polished proof finish that highlights the intricate details of its artistry. The front of the coin displays a newly sprouted seedling alongside a fallen acorn, representing the early stages of liberty. This side bears the prominent phrase "WITH FREEDOM OF RELIGION LIBERTY GROWS", alongside "IN GOD WE TRUST", "E PLURIBUS UNUM", and the year "2021". This side was designed by Donna Weaver and sculpted by Joseph Menna. On the reverse side, an eagle glides through the air while clutching an olive branch in its talons. The inscriptions on this side include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "$100", "1 OZ.", and "0.9995 PLATINUM". This reverse image was designed by Patricia Lucas-Morris and sculpted by Don Everhart. The production of this coin was strictly limited to a maximum of 13,000 pieces.
