This striking 2022 silver coin from the Treasures of the United States series honors the state of Missouri. Struck in one ounce of 0.999 fine silver, the proof coin features a distinctive colorized reverse that celebrates the state's natural and cultural icons. At the center of the design is a CoinJewels capsule containing actual lead, highlighting Missouri's status as a premier lead mining region where galena serves as the official state mineral. Surrounding the central capsule is a vibrant collage of Missouri symbols. The design showcases the state flower, known as Crataegus punctata, and the eastern bluebird, which is the state bird. Cultural landmarks are also represented, including the Gateway Arch, a Pony Express rider, brewing tanks, and the Missouri state flag. The obverse of the coin displays a majestic bald eagle emblem alongside inscriptions detailing the weight, purity, and the country of issue.
