This half-ounce silver coin, issued in 2022 by the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, offers a beautiful exploration of a classic narrative. Struck in 0.999 fine silver, the piece carries a face value of 200 Drams and belongs to a popular series first launched in 2011. The obverse side displays the official coat of arms for the Republic of Armenia. Alongside this national emblem, the face value of 200 DRAM and the 2022 production year are clearly inscribed, anchoring the coin in its modern issuing context. On the reverse, artist Eduard Kurghinyan captures a powerful scene of hope and survival. The design illustrates the biblical vessel floating on floodwaters before Mount Ararat, illuminated by a rising sun.
