Introduced in 2011, the Noah's Ark series is issued under the authority of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia. This impressive ten-ounce silver piece, struck in 0.999 fine purity, carries a face value of 5000 Dram. The state actively guarantees the weight, metal purity, and overall production quality of these legal tender coins, which represent a modern tradition in Armenian numismatics. The obverse of the coin showcases the official coat of arms for the Republic of Armenia. Alongside this national emblem, the inscriptions clearly display the denomination of 5000 DRAM and the 2022 year of issue. On the reverse, artist Eduard Kurghinyan depicts the famous biblical story. A dove carrying an olive branch flies in the foreground, while Noah's Ark floats upon the receding floodwaters.
