2023 1 oz Silver Eagle - Limited Edition Silver Degenerates TEP
The 2023 American Silver Eagle is a striking example of modern United States coinage, containing one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver. Backed by the United States government for its weight and purity, this one-dollar coin belongs to a celebrated series that first commenced in 1986. On the front of the coin, observers will find the classic Walking Liberty design originally created by Adolph A. Weinman, the German-born sculptor who also designed the Mercury Dime and the Walking Liberty Half Dollar. This elegant image portrays Liberty draped in the national flag, moving gracefully toward a rising sun. The reverse side features a newer design introduced in 2021, created by Emily Damstra and sculpted by Michael Gaudioso. It captures a lone eagle descending for a landing while clutching an oak branch in its talons. Legible inscriptions on the coin include the national motto IN GOD WE TRUST alongside the year 2023 on the obverse. The reverse displays the country of origin, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, the traditional Latin phrase E PLURIBUS UNUM, and the coin's weight and denomination, written as 1 OZ. FINE SILVER and ONE DOLLAR.
