The reverse of the round displays a detailed depiction of a fortified village belonging to the Susquehannock people. An Iroquoian-speaking tribe, the Susquehannock historically established their settlements along the Susquehanna River. The detailed imagery captures the defensive architecture of their traditional communities. On the obverse, the design showcases a native star pattern alongside the bald eagle emblem.
