Introduced in 2011, the Noah's Ark series has become a signature release backed by the Armenian government. This 2023 issue, containing one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver, represents a legal tender denomination of 500 Drams under the authority of the Central Bank of Armenia. Though issued for Armenia, the production of these silver pieces is handled by a private minting facility located in Germany, with the state guaranteeing the weight, purity, and overall quality of each coin. The obverse displays the official coat of arms for the Republic of Armenia. Alongside this national emblem, the inscriptions indicate the face value of 500 DRAM, the 2023 year of issue, and the metal purity of Ag 999. The design serves as an official stamp of sovereign backing. On the reverse, an intricate design by Eduard Kurghinyan brings a famous biblical narrative to life.
