This striking gold coin from 2023 marks the second entry in a series dedicated to the Lost Tigers of Cambodia. Struck from one troy ounce of highly pure 0.9999 fine gold, this piece highlights the plight of the Indo-Chinese tiger, an endangered species. In 2017, Cambodia recognized that these magnificent big cats might be extinct within its borders, prompting the launch of dedicated recovery programs to help bring them back. The reverse of the coin captures the tiger in its natural environment, surrounded by lush foliage. On the obverse, the design features the iconic temple complex of Angkor Wat, a celebrated symbol of Cambodia.
