Located in the remote James Bay area of Northern Quebec, this facility first reached commercial production levels in 2015. To signify the responsible sourcing and verifiable journey of the precious metal, the reverse features a specialized privy mark depicting a hand cradling a globe. The reverse of the coin displays the iconic, deeply detailed maple leaf design. Under close magnification, a tiny, micro-engraved maple leaf privy mark reveals the number 23, denoting the year of issue.
