The reverse side of the coin features an artistic depiction of Maria Tallchief in a dynamic ballet pose, capturing her grace and strength. Her Osage name, Wa-Xthe-Thomba, which translates to "Woman of Two Worlds," is inscribed alongside her English name, celebrating her heritage and her historic achievements on the global stage. The reverse also displays the traditional national motto, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and the denomination, QUARTER DOLLAR. On the obverse, a classic portrait of George Washington faces right. Originally designed by Laura Gardin Fraser, this elegant likeness is accompanied by the inscriptions IN GOD WE TRUST, LIBERTY, and the year 2023, along with the "S" mint mark indicating its San Francisco origin.
