This particular one dollar issue from 2023 contains one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver. Struck at the San Francisco Mint, it bears the distinctive S mint mark, signifying its origin of manufacture. The piece has been graded in flawless Proof 70 Deep Cameo condition, highlighting the intense contrast between the frosted design elements and the mirror-like background fields. On the obverse, the iconic figure of Lady Liberty is depicted walking toward a rising sun over a mountain ridge. The inscriptions IN GOD WE TRUST and the year 2023 are clearly visible on this face. The reverse displays a detailed bald eagle as it descends toward a landing, grasping an oak branch in its talons. This modern reverse illustration was designed by Emily Damstra of the Artistic Infusion Program and sculpted by Michael Gaudioso.
