The 2023 American Silver Eagle represents a stunning blend of classic and modern American numismatic art. Struck from one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver, this coin has been certified in perfect Mint State 70 (MS-70) condition. Although minted at the West Point Mint, the coin does not display a mint mark, keeping the focus entirely on its detailed surfaces. On the obverse, a classic depiction of Lady Liberty walks gracefully while draped in the American flag, moving toward a rising sun over a mountain ridge. This side features the legible inscriptions of LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the year 2023. The iconic artwork was originally created by Adolph A. Weinman. The reverse, first introduced in 2021, shows a single eagle preparing to land while clutching an oak branch in its talons. This detailed scene was designed by Emily Damstra and brought to life by sculptor Michael Gaudioso. Surrounding the eagle are the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONE DOLLAR, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, and the traditional motto E PLURIBUS UNUM.
