Struck in 22-karat gold, the coin is composed of 0.9167 fine gold, with the remaining alloy containing copper and silver to enhance its durability. On the obverse, the design draws inspiration from the famous 1907 twenty-dollar gold piece created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. It depicts Lady Liberty walking forward, holding a lit torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other. The year 2024 is clearly inscribed alongside this classic figure. The reverse displays a highly detailed, close-up portrait of an American bald eagle, a modern design crafted by Jennie Norris. Her initials, JN, are visible on this side of the coin. Various traditional inscriptions adorn the reverse, including the national mottos of faith and unity, alongside the face value of 10 Dollars and the weight designation of 1/4 oz. fine gold. This series holds a significant place in American numismatic history, representing the first time the United States government officially backed gold coins intended for bullion purposes.
