The obverse displays a powerful profile of an American Indian, a design originally inspired by James Earle Fraser's famous 1913 Buffalo Nickel. The word "LIBERTY" is clearly inscribed along the upper right rim, with the year "2024" and a small letter "F" positioned near the lower shoulder. The reverse features a massive American bison, modeled after the historic animal known as Black Diamond from the same 1913 nickel design.
