2024 Australia 10 oz Silver Kookaburra BU
2024 Australia 10 oz Silver Kookaburra BU
The 2024 Australian Silver Kookaburra showcases a dramatic wildlife encounter captured in ten ounces of highly pure silver. On the reverse, a kookaburra flies above a gorge, clutching a snake in its talons. This detailed scene, created by artist Sean Rogers, also features the Perth Mint's special P125 mint mark to celebrate their milestone anniversary. The reverse is inscribed with the word KOOKABURRA, the 2024 year, and the weight and 0.9999 silver purity. A micro-laser engraved letter is also incorporated into the design as a security element. The obverse of this legal tender coin bears the effigy of King Charles III, designed by Dan Thorne, alongside the face value of 10 Dollars. First introduced in 1990, this long-running series continues its legacy of depicting Australia's famous native bird, with each release backed by the Australian government.
