The 2024 Gold Libertad proof coin represents a miniature masterpiece of Mexican numismatic art, containing 1/20 ounce of 0.999 pure gold. Despite its delicate size, this coin showcases the striking design elements that have made the Libertad series celebrated worldwide. It is produced at the Casa de Moneda de México, which holds the distinction of being the oldest active minting institution in North America. The reverse of the coin features the Winged Victory statue, a symbol of freedom set against the dramatic backdrop of the two legendary Mexican volcanoes, Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl. Inscriptions on this side include the weight, the year 2024, and the metal purity.
