The 2024 Mexican Silver Libertad Proof coin represents a continuation of a modern classic that first emerged in 1983. Struck in one ounce of 0.999 pure silver, this piece has been certified at the highest possible grade of Proof 70 Deep Cameo. This exceptional strike showcases the deep, reflective fields and frosted details that define the finest proof coinage, all backed by the authority of the Banco de México. On the reverse, the design showcases the Winged Victory statue, a monument set against the dramatic backdrop of the Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl volcanoes. The inscriptions on this side record the weight and purity, reading "1 ONZA", "PLATA PURA", "2024", and "LEY 0.999", alongside the historic "Mo" mint mark of the Mexico City Mint. The obverse of the coin was updated in the year 2000 to present a comprehensive visual history of the nation.
