This striking silver piece marks the tenth time the Mexican Mint has issued the one ounce reverse proof edition of its iconic Libertad design. On the front of the coin, a central sculptural rendering of the modern Mexican national shield is encircled by the words ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS. Framing this central emblem is a circular array of various historical coats of arms that have represented the nation during different eras of its past. This design provides a visual journey through the country's evolving identity. The reverse side presents a dramatic scene featuring the Winged Victory monument standing prominently in the foreground.
