It belongs to a five year series spanning from 2021 to 2025, which dedicates each year to exploring one of the five essential liberties protected by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. On the obverse, the design highlights a young oak branch, symbolizing the growth and strength of our shared liberties. The accompanying inscription reads "WITH FREEDOM OF SPEECH LIBERTY BLOSSOMS." This side was designed by Donna Weaver and sculpted by Joseph Menna. The year 2024 is also inscribed on this face, alongside the West Point "W" mint mark. The reverse side depicts a powerful eagle soaring through the air while clutching an olive branch in its talons. Designed by Patricia Lucas-Morris and sculpted by Don Everhart, this side carries the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "$100," "1 OZ.," and "0.9995 PLATINUM."
