2025 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle MS-70 CAC (First Delivery)
Introduced in 1986, the American Gold Eagle series has become a cornerstone of modern United States Mint production. This 2025 issue carries a face value of 25 Dollars and contains exactly one half troy ounce of pure gold. To ensure the coin resists wear and maintains its physical integrity, the United States Mint alloys the gold with small amounts of silver and copper, resulting in a total weight of 16.97 grams and a purity of 0.9167. The obverse of the coin features a legendary design inspired by Augustus Saint-Gaudens' celebrated 1907 Gold Double Eagle. It depicts Lady Liberty walking forward, holding a lit torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other. On the reverse, viewers will find a detailed close-up portrait of an American bald eagle, a modern design created by Jennie Norris. This particular coin has been certified in perfect Mint State 70 (MS-70) condition, indicating its flawless strike and preservation.
