Struck in a half ounce of 0.999 pure gold, the piece is certified by the Monnaie de Paris and is limited to a very small release of just 250 pieces. Its design centers on the famous myth of El Dorado, a tale originating from ancient ceremonies where a chieftain covered in gold dust made precious offerings to a sacred lake. The obverse side presents a dramatic visual encounter, showing a Spanish conquistador standing face-to-face with Atahualpa, the final ruler of the Inca Empire. Above this historical confrontation, a gilded Inca deity is depicted alongside the inscription EL DORADO, positioned over an illustration of the legendary lake. The year of issue is inscribed at the very bottom of the design. On the reverse, the coin features a contemporary interpretation of the classic French Sower.
